Bizarre ‘Floating Rocks’ Found in Madagascar – Tsingy of Bemaraha

Bemaraha National Park located in the dry west of Madagascar is well known for its Tsingys, limestone formations that can rise up to 131 feet that form a unique landscape with sculptures, towers and deep cracks, these stones are sharp and bizarre.

In Madagascar, the Tsingy of Bemaraha is the tallest of their kind.

Tsingy of Bemaraha is declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site because of numerous caves with old tombs in them.

The vertical and horizontal erosion that creates these rock formations that look like floating rocks is unique in this area.
